Carlsbad Art Splash — 25 - 26 Sep 2010 (annual) Armada Drive The Carlsbad Art Splash festival presents a wide array of chalk street art creations up and down the oceanfront on Armada Drive. Street entertainers perform alongside musicians and dozens of professional artists who display and sell their work.

Carlsbad Music Festival — 24 - 26 Sep 2010 (annual)
Schulman Auditorium at Dove Library

A five-day alternative classical music festival, the Carlsbad Music Festival is held at the Schulman Auditorium at Dove Library. It presents new and unconventional music of the highest calibre, while outreach programmes and concerts aim to educate and entertain audiences.

Oktoberfest — 2 Oct 2010 (annual)
Holiday Park

Carlsbad's Oktoberfest presents a feast of German music, food, dancing and beer at the Holiday Park. For children there's a pumpkin-decorating contest, face painting and clowns. Adults can enjoy the famous 'chicken dance' between, a German dinner and much more!

Carlsbad Village Street Faire — 7 Nov 2010 (various dates)

Twice a year, Carlsbad hosts the Village Street Faire, a massive gathering of over 850 street vendors selling everything from arts and crafts to clothes and international food. Highlights include an old-fashioned pancake breakfast and various rides for children.

Carlsbad Village Faire — 7 Nov 2010 (various dates)

Held twice a year, the Carlsbad Village Faire attracts around 90,000 visitors to Grand Avenue. Arts and crafts, novelties, hand-painted clothing, food, face-painting, a climbing wall, pony rides and live music make this an enjoyable day for the whole family.

Carlsbad Marathon — 23 Jan 2011 (annual)

Held every winter, the Carlsbad Marathon is run along the beautiful Pacific coast. The event includes a half marathon, the Keebler Kids Marathon Mile (held a day before) and a weekend health exposition.

Art in the Village — Aug 2011 (annual)
Carlsbad

Two hundred arts and crafts vendors gather in the beautiful oceanside town of Carlsbad to display their creations during Art in the Village. Held two blocks from the beach, the event features live music, fine art, photography and much more.
